Catalina has always been an ambitious child. She was the kinda kid that came home frustrated after her very first school day and be like "I'm never going to school again. I've been there for a whole day and still can't write nor read."
She'd be well behaving in front of the teachers to keep her good reputation, but get into brawls with the other kids when no one's looking. (she hated being told boys are stronger/faster than girls and would want to prove them wrong) After elementary class she's been to a girl's only school, so no more brawls then. She kinda liked wearing a school uniform though. Still she'd try to sneakily give it her own personal twist.

No college. It has never been up for discussion. She was supposed to work in her family's tailor shop and so she did. At first.

Childhood moments with Ian, when they were out on the meadow with the cattle or horses.
Their time shortly after they left everything behind to move to Austria and finally establish ASU. Lotsa sleepless nights, deep talks, eating popcorn at 3am on the couch, encouraging each other to not give up persuing their dreams. It was a tough but also wholesome time and they worked VERY hard for what they have now.

she'd rather not have kids than being forced into the role of a stay-at-home-mom. ultimate nightmare. so it pretty much depends on any possible future partner and how he'd deal with the situation.

she's the co-founder and manager. when she has enough spare time at hands, she's also a passionate dressage rider. while she's good enough to participate competitions, she simply doesn't have the time nor the goal to become a real pro

yes! she runs her own fashion business/label in new york, but is cooperating with big companies on an international level

sewing or designing clothes, shopping (for herself and her horse), riding, bossing others around

not really a fear, but more of a worst case scenario. she loves being an independant woman over everything. being robbed of that would be horrible to her (being bound to a wheelchair or worse for example)

the boss-lady.
either her employees or the ASU staff know her as a tough woman that is bossing others around. but she's not running around with her nose high up – she'd also clean the stables herself if necessary. (but it's not necessary LOL)
she doesn't bother much about what other's think of her. don't like her bossy nature? go cry in a corner sweet summerchild xD

yes, they actually even have been engaged; his name is Michael Brooks he was a business man himself, they've met each other on a party organized by a cooperation partner of hers when she was still in the baby shoes with her own label/business. they clicked pretty well and he was an interesting man in her eyes. so they had a happy relationship. although in the end she broke up with him a while after he had proposed to her. he couldn't handle the fact she's become quite popular was making more money than him over the time. instead of being proud of her in front of others, he tried to keep her low and keep the attention away from her

yes and no. she loves them dearly, but she also likes the long distance between them xD
like when they meet, they get along well. but they wouldn't if they would see each other more than they do. would lead to too many argues since they are very traditional in their mindset. although they learned to be very proud of her after their great disappointment in her leaving their shop and spain in general

He's always had average/good grades and despite some playful pranks he's never attracted negative attention. He always got along with everyone.

his parents expected a lot from him, so he gave his best but always found a good balance between duty and fun

a young sunshine boy. he appears to be naive and worry-free, but he deals with quite some pressure though, trying to make himself known in the equestrian scene. he's mature for his age with a gentle and polite personality
he kinda dislikes being seen as a kid, but on the other hand he likes being a kid. typical process of growing up i guess : D

honestly speaking, i made most of that up as i wrote ID he is such a new character and i don't know him well enough yet. YET.

Sister (May Abrams, 28yo), but they aren't related since both are adopted
3) What were they like in their elementary, middle and high school phases?
He's always had his own sense of humor and was way more mature than the average, so he quickly got bored by simple tasks and had some difficulties in socializing. Being an introvert didn't really help in that case either, so he's always been more of a loner but that never bothered him. He is incredibly smart, so it was suggested by his teachers that he'd jump to second or even third grade right away, but his parents decided against it to not create even more distance between him and his classmates.
As teenager he was a bit more rebellious. He's always had that habit of critically scrutinising everything. Was way too much going on in that young mind of his.

Yes, he studied chemical science and applied mathematics with straight As

when he REALLY gets excited about something. he usually is always composed and in the background, but when something excites him, he has to share and express it : D

he doesn't think he'd be a good dad. children aren't something you can explain with math, which scares him. so no.

newly joined as competition rider for BMEC. he does show jumping

he loves to proof-read assignments, so he offers that service. although he had to learn to not scrap everything a student wrote and write a new essay for them in one night.

he tends to gather as much information as possible! be it about recent news, politics, chemistry, etc. chilling and doing nothing is not his style

alzheimer's desease probably
he's also scared of meeting his physical parents. he loves his family and as of now has no interest in that. though he can't quite put it into words why.
15) How do other people see them? does this affect them or do they brush it off?
maybe self-centered and rude? but not in a way of cursing a lot, he just speaks his mind and is not afraid to correct others. and if you are wearing an ugly sweater, he has a hard time to keep that to himself (he constantly did that as kid XD he learned to not do that now. most of the time at least.)

he's had one relationship before, but that guy broke up with him because they simply had different expectations of a "perfect" relationship. river is an emotional person, he just can't express it well. he dated a girl too, but that didn't end in a relationship.

yes! they are very supportive and understanding. river and his sister may both are adopted (as baby/toddler) because they couldn't have children on their own. they were always very caring. also they can handle his dark/sarcastic humor VERY WELL and can see underneath his surface. although river is closest to their grandma.

not that often anymore, since river first spent a year abroad in Australia and after returning to England later on moved to Canada (BMEC)
