Nadia was already on Free Kick's back. The young mare felt the tension of the other riders and horses and couldn't stand still. Nervously she stepped from one hoof to the other. It was her first event ever. Maybe it was a stupid idea to start with an event like this one – under such extreme conditions, but Nadia trained very hard with her mare. Free Kick was such a motivated horse, tho she was hard to handle because she would run through the parcours without hesitating and in full speed. Like a rocket. She needed a strict hand and clear commands to not just run over the obstacles, since she had problems assessing the distance. But the two became a great duo.
Their names were called and Free Kick immediately did a few jumps forward. "Shh shhh, keep calm, girl.", Nadia said with a soft voice, while leading her to the parcours, trotting through it, remembering the order and the route for one last time. Free Kick was so eager to start, till she finally felt the soft pressure by her rider's legs and sped up a little, running towards the first obstacle.
